“A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie” – Tenneva Jordan
Well, its officially May. You know what that means – showers are leaving, flowers are springing, school kids are restless, and summer is right around the corner. But first (and foremost) comes Mother’s Day.
You probably know some cynical folks who consider Mother’s Day to be nothing more than a ‘Hallmark Holiday’, but I think that nothing could be further from the truth. Mother’s Day is a great opportunity to recognize and celebrate the women who make life possible and pleasant for us.
Allow me to wax philosophic for a moment, but I really like the quote above. It humbly captures the essence of motherhood – sacrificial love. From the pains of childbearing to free babysitting (and everything in between), good mothers love and sacrifice much for their children. We all owe quite a debt to our mothers, grandmothers, and even mother-in-laws. They have given so much for us, and it is entirely appropriate to set aside a day where we show our thanks in return.
Pardon this quick and shameless plug – but many people don’t think about what a great gift outdoor lighting can be. But, outdoor lighting is an ideal Mother’s Day present – Does your wife work hard to make your house a home? Our lights will display the beauty of her work and your home at night. Is your mother at home a lot alone in the evenings? Our lights will increase her safety and your home’s security at night. Best of all, quality outdoor lighting is a gift that, like a mother’s love, keeps on giving night after night, month after month, year after year. This is our promise and guarantee to you.
Mother’s Day will be here before you know it, and we have opened some extra spots on our install calendar for next week. Let us help you give the gift of outdoor lighting to the giver in your life. If you have any questions or would like a free home demonstration to see how our lights will give more beauty and security to your home, call us at (706) 722-5711 in Augusta or (706) 484-9711 in Lake Oconee.
Hope you have a blessed Mother’s Day,
