3 Reasons We Are the CSRA’s Premier Event Lighting Company

Quick riddle for you: what do the Academy Awards, the Royal Wedding, and Augusta’s Sacred Heart Garden Tour all have in common? Answer: Great Event Lighting.

Whether it be Backyard Parties, Elaborate Weddings, Office Celebrations, or Community Fundraisers, Quality Lighting Makes a Good Event Great

Although we are best known for installing permanent residential and commercial lighting systems, did you know that we also offer temporary lighting systems for special events? For many years, we have quietly been making a name for ourselves as the CSRA’s premier event lighting company. It has been our honor to light a wide variety of important events for our customers: from backyard parties to elaborate weddings, office celebrations to community fundraisers, we shine at special events where good lighting is a must.

So, why should you call us for your next special event?  Here are the top 3 reasons…

Our Lights…

1. Set the Right Mood for Your Special Event

Romantic, Elegant, Exciting, or Anything in-between, Let Us Create the Perfect Mood for your Special Event

We’ve all heard the term “mood lighting” used many times before. The term’s popularity is evidence of the power of light to shape our mood and experience of an event. Consider some of the most memorable events you have experienced. Whether it be a  romantic dinner with your partner, a performance piece that touched you deeply, or a particularly beautiful wedding, chances are, by intentional design (or blind luck), lighting played an important part in making that event so meaningful and memorable for you. Truly, good mood lighting has the power to make a good event great. Whether you are aiming for romantic, intimate, exciting, or anything in between, we have the practical experience, technical skill, and artistic sensibilities needed to help you create the perfect mood for your next special event.

 2. Make Your Event Planning Easier

Make event planning easier with Outdoor Lighting in augusta and aiken

Let Us Help you Take Care of Some Crucial Aesthetic and Practical Details to Ensure that your Special Event is Beautiful, Seamless, and Low Stress.

Let’s be honest – planning special events can present a quite a challenge. Consider all the details an event planner has to keep track of: does the caterer have all the equipment they need? Is the florist on time and on track? Which guests still need directions? Every event requires planners to juggle a lot of details, but the best events create a mood (and a host) that is calm, complimentary, and engaging. When you choose us, we help you by taking care of some of the most crucial aesthetic and practical details to ensure that your special event is beautiful, seamless, and most importantly, low stress. We will quietly set up our lights at a convenient time before your event, test/program them on site, and quickly take them down at a time that works best for you. With us, you get to rest a bit easier, trusting that there will be no hassle, no fuss, and no problems with our lights. We know that you’ve got enough to worry about, so let us help you enjoy the event you have worked so hard on.

3. Provide Lighting of Some of CSRA’s Most Prestigious Events

garden festival page marker editWe have worked hard to become the official event lighting company for some of the most discerning clients and prestigious events in the CSRA. We are proud to provide the lighting  for the Sacred Heart Garden Tour, Swamp Soiree, Blue Jean Ball, Historic Augusta’s Cotton Ball and Woodrow Wilson boyhood home, and many other stalwart community events. These events all have a well-deserved reputation, and we our happy to lend our lights to compliment and enhance the popularity and success of these must-attend events.

When you choose Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Augusta and Lake Oconee, we offer you a free consultation to learn about your event, and to design a lighting package that will best compliment the goals and mood of your special event. How Does Your Garden Glow? Rembrandt, Backyard Stories, and Accent Lighting

Every Garden Has Hidden Beauty Waiting To Be Uncovered

Highlight the Best Parts of Your Yard

Did you know that our lights can actually refocus the way your yard looks at night? Its true. By highlighting your favorite features of your yard, our lights can help you create the landscape of your dreams.

In fact, nighttime is the ideal time to accent what you desire to be the focal point of your yard. Think about it this way – the evening hours offer you a black canvas to draw attention to your favorite parts of your lawn and garden. You may not have considered it before, but the painting metaphor fits what we do fairly well, because we consider ourselves to be artisans of outdoor lighting, and we draw inspiration from a wide variety of other artists, like painter Rembrandt Van Rijn.

prodigal_son

“The Prodigal Son” by Rembrandt

Long before Thomas Kinkaid, Rembrandt (1606-1669) was known as “the painter of light”. This is because he started with a black canvas and added in light layer by layer, emphasizing the features he most wanted to highlight in his paintings. For example, take “The Prodigal Son” painting here: notice how Rembrandt uses light to draw attention to the characters and relationships portrayed. While the aloof older brother (on the right)  is  brighter than the background characters, he remains a secondary and relatively dark character in the painting, as in the story itself (Luke 15:11-32). By his use of light, Rembrandt draws our gaze onto the true focal point of the story – the relationship between the father and prodigal son, particularly on the welcoming hands of the father.  Through his use of light, Rembrandt tells a powerful story without saying a word. This is the power of art, and of light, to tell a story that intrigues, inspires, and welcomes us in.

Like Rembrandt, we Start with a Dark Canvas and Add Light Layer by Layer, Creating a Beautiful Work of Art.

Whether it is the “The Prodigal Son” or one of his many self-portraits, Rembrandt’s paintings remain some of the most beautiful in the art world. Rembrandt inspires us because we also start with the dark canvas of night. We bring light into places where it does not exist, accenting the parts of your yard that you most want to highlight. While we would never claim to be the Rembrandt of outdoor lighting, we do think that the effect our lights bring to your yard is priceless. Tell us what you want to highlight, and we guarantee you’ll agree.

Our Masters Makeover makes this pond and waterfall glow at night.

What Story do you Want Your Backyard to Tell?

Like Rembrandt, we can use light to tell a story in your yard – want to highlight the tranquility of your backyard? Let us accent that beloved water feature with customized submersible lighting fixtures.  Want to portray your backyard as an evening oasis? We can feature your favorite plants, flowers and trees with the lights that accents the unique beauty of each. Want to create a cozy atmosphere for evening entertaining? Let us light your sitting/eating area moon lights from above and deck lights from underneath. So the most important question is: what story do you want your backyard to tell? Answer that and we’ll take care of the rest…

If you have any questions or would like a free home demonstration to experience how our artisan lights can tell a story in your yard, give us a call at (706) 722-5711 in Augusta / Aiken or (706) 484-9711 in Lake Oconee / Athens.

Outdoor Lighting Perspectives - Southern Architectural Lighting

Outdoor Lighting Takes Your Labor Day Party to the Next Level

Can you believe that in one week from today summer will officially be over?! Not only has this been one of the rainiest summers on record, it also felt like one of the shortest in recent memory (thankfully, we still have a lot of nice weather ahead of us).

Rain or shine, we will collectively celebrate Labor Day this weekend, saying goodbye to summer and welcoming in the fall. In homage to the winnowing days of summer, friends and families will gather around their pools and backyard BBQs to send-off the summer together.

Did you know that Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Augusta and Lake Oconee can help you send-off the summer in style? Its true!

Our Lights Keep Your Parties Going As Long As You Desire

Our Lights…

1. Keep Your Parties Going Longer – By Labor Day, the days are already getting shorter, and night is coming sooner each evening. While we can’t stop the summer from ending, we can keep your Labor Day party going as long as you desire. Good outdoor lighting means that your guests don’t have to leave when evening comes; and, unlike other lesser lighting fixtures, our lights are always beautiful, dependable, and versatile. This means you can rest assured that no matter the season or celebration, our lights will always be there to help you make the most of any event you will ever host.

You’ll Be Amazed by How Much More Time You Spend Outdoors

2. Extend Your Outdoor Living Space– Our ‘Summer Nights’ ad campaign was all about helping homeowners understand how our lights can extend your outdoor living space into the evening hours. Thankfully, this is not simply a summertime benefit. Living in Georgia, we are able to comfortably enjoy outdoor evenings almost anytime of year. Whether it be family dinners on the patio in the fall, or snuggling up next to a fire pit in the winter, our lights will continue to pay dividends for your family year round. Many of our new customers are initially surprised about how often our lights come in handy, and are often thrilled by how many more evenings they spend outside as a result.

We Know How to Make Your Home Look Beautiful All Year Round

3. Enhance Your Home’s Beauty Every Season – Soon the leaves will begin to change colors, and as beautiful as they look during the day, they are even more beautiful at night with our lights. While do-it-yourself lighting kits and fly-by-night lighting guys are less expensive, they also lack the design expertise and warranty you get with our company. Whether it be the blazing colors of fall, or the beautiful blooms of spring, our experienced lighting professionals know how to design and install a lighting system that ensures your home will look beautiful each and every season. Our incredible warranty also guarantees that your home will keep looking great, year after year.

Let us help you send-off the sumer in style by enjoying these beautiful nights with your friends and family. The Cotton Ball – Lighting Up An Augusta Tradition

An Augusta Tradition since 1988

We Are Proud to be Lighting
Historic Augusta’sCotton Ball 2013

Today was a great day at Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Augusta and Lake Oconee. I’ve said it many times before – May is my favorite month of the year. The flowers are blooming, local produce fills store bins, and the weather is almost perfect.

It is days like today that make me grateful to be working outside with my hands. Not only was the weather beautiful, but my crew also finished setting up some lighting for a really fantastic local event – Historic Augusta’s Cotton Ball.

What Is The Cotton Ball? Since 1988, the Cotton Ball is an annual tradition of Historic Augusta, Inc. Historic Augusta is an important local organization whose mission is to preserve some of our city’s most important and historic landmarks.

Where Is It Held?– The casual affair will take place in the gardens surrounding the home of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond John Doumar, located at 2644 Henry Street. The Doumar’s home was originally built in 1917 by architect Henry Ten Eyck Wendell, who designed many of the finest homes that were built in Augusta in the early 20th century. The Doumars are also long time clients of ours, and we are very proud to have done the lights for this party, as well as the lights for their house and their incredible backyard.

When Is It Happening? This Thursday, May 16th from 6:30-9:30pm.

How Much Does It Cost? The Cotton Ball is free with a membership to Historic Augusta, Inc. Not a member? No sweat, membership rates are very reasonable – just $50 for an individual and $85 for a couple. Again, all proceeds go to Historic Augusta and their mission of local preservation.

Our Lights Create an Elegant Atmosphere for Your Parties and Events

Why Should I Go? This will be wonderful opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal from Outback Steakhouse, refreshing drinks (Mint Julep, anyone?), and great music from a local group, The Unmentionables. You can also enjoy mingling in the beautiful May weather and in the warm glow of this beautiful home. For more information, check out Historic Augusta’s website.

Do you have an evening event coming up soon? No worries, we can help. In addition to residential and commercial lighting, we also specialize in event lighting. Whether it be weddings, special events (The Blue Jean Ball), festivals (Sacred Heart Garden Festival), or even private dinner parties, discerning customers know how a few of our lights can make a huge difference for their event.

Here Today. Here Tomorrow. Here For You, CSRA.

Our Reliable Service Ensures that Your Lights Continue Look Great Year After Year

Our Reliable Service Means that Your Lights Will Continue Look Great Year After Year

Lately, I have been thinking about the phrase – “here today, gone tomorrow.”  This popular cliche describes many fleeting things in our world – pop music stars, internet memes, start-up businesses, and so on. It does not, however, describe our company.

At Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Augusta and Lake Oconee we promise to be here today and here tomorrow as well. For 14 years, we have stood behind that promise and made it our aim to be here for you, faithfully serving the CSRA since 1999.

We promise to be here for you…

Next Week – Next week is Masters Week, and although many of our customers head out of town, we are staying in town to be available for whatever you might need. If you or your guests have any issues with your lighting system during Masters Week, call us and we will be there right away to make your lights look and work right again.

Event Lighting Entertaining Parties

Having a Party? Entertaining Some Guests? We Will Make Sure Your House Always Looks Its Best for Your Special Events.

Next Year – Every spring our schedule is filled with new installations for our new customers, annual maintenance plans for our existing customers, and even non-OLP lighting system repairs for our competitors’ customers.  This last category constitutes a growing part of our business every year. Outdoor lighting is a significant investment (that can pay beautiful dividends), yet many people don’t think about servicing their system in the years to come. But, this is the biggest problem with ‘here today, gone tomorrow’ lighting companies – unreliable service. A landscaper or amateur lighting guy may offer a lower installation price, but consider the long-term costs of unreliable service. Outdoor lighting is all we do and we will aim to do it right. When you use us, you can rest easy knowing that your lights will be shining every night, year after year.

Outdoor Lighting Warranty

We are Here When You Need Us. Our Longevity & Warranty Give You (Priceless) Peace of Mind

Next Decade – We have been serving the CSRA for over 14 years, significantly longer than anyone else in our area. This highlights what many consider to be our strongest selling point – our warranty. Put simply, we have the best warranty in the biz. Anyone can sell you a warranty, but will they be around to honor it if something goes wrong? We have been standing behind our warranties for over 14 years, our national franchise has been doing so for almost 20 years. This means that when you buy one of our lighting systems, you know that you are getting a guarantee that is worth something. It means that we will be here for you when you need us. That peace of mind is priceless.

As our outdoor lighting competitors come and go in the CSRA, we remain. Longevity is one of the ‘intangible benefits’ that you get with our company, but you can easily appreciate tangible benefits that come with our lights – quick response time, reliable service and a dependable warranty. Bottom line,  you can trust that we are here for you today, and we will be here for you tomorrow, faithfully serving all your outdoor lighting needs.

If you have any questions, or would like a free home consultation, call us at (706) 722-5711 in Augusta/Aiken or (706) 484-9711 in Athens/Lake Oconee.

Have a great Masters Week,

Lighting Up The Blue Jean Ball

We are excited to donate the lighting for this great event

Every so often, I like to dedicate a blog to something cool and interesting that is happening in our local CSRA community. This is one of those blogs.

You may not know that Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Augusta and Lake Oconee is the CSRA’s premier event lighting experts. We are often asked to provide event lighting for parties, weddings, and special occasions. This Saturday, we have donated some of our outdoor lights for a good cause – The Annual Blue Jean Ball.  This annual party is a fun charity event that seeks to raise money and awareness for Turn Back the Block.

What is Turn Back the Block? Turn Back the Block is a non-profit organization that exists to revitalize our local Harrisburg community by supporting home improvement and promoting home ownership.

A Recent Home Rehab Project in Harrisburg

From their website –  “Not too long ago, the Harrisburg community was a thriving place to live, shop, worship and learn…In recent years, Harrisburg has experienced disinvestment, and the pride that once radiated through the community has dwindled. Turn Back the Block is a plan to return that sense of pride in the neighborhood and change lives for the better…recent statistics show the 14% of Harrisburg homes are vacant or abandoned, and that less 25% of homes are owner-occupied. Turn Back the Block is founded on the belief that home ownership is the axis for community transition. Using the existing housing stock in this historic mill village, Turn Back the Block enables individuals and families the opportunity to participate in the rehabilitation of their future homes via sweat equity. Our Family Selection and Shepherding Committee will qualify applicants and assist them in the process of home ownership, both before and after closing. Turn Back The Block offers low and interest- free mortgages to participants, and utilizes all payments to build the program for other families”.
